Terms and Conditions – Refuge & AKA Ltd free prize draw (Gala Performance in aid of Refuge of the Tina Turner musical on 10th October 2021 at 3pm).

1. The promoter of this prize draw is Refuge, registered charity number 277424 and company number 1412276 of 4th Floor, International House, 1 St Katherine’s Way, London E1W 1UN (“the Charity”).

2. The prize draw is open to all UK residents aged 18 years or over, except employees of the Charity, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the prize draw.

3. The prize draw is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.

4 Participants will be automatically entered into the free prize draw on receipt of their entry.

5. The opening date for entries is Friday 24th September 2021. The closing date of the prize draw is midnight on Sunday 3rd October 2021. Entries received after this time will not be accepted.

6. The Charity accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, network or server failure of any kind.

7. There will be 1 winner, and the winner will be chosen by random draw, from all entrants in the draw, supervised by an independent person on Monday 4th October 2021 (“Draw Date”).

8. The winner will each receive two tickets (e-tickets) to attend the gala performance in aid of Refuge of the Tina Turner musical at 3pm on 10th October 2021 at the Aldwych Theatre, London.

9. The winner will be notified by email and telephone before 5pm on Tuesday 5th October. If the winner does not respond to the Charity within 48 hours of being notified by the Charity, then the winner’s prize will be forfeited and the Charity will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.

The prize will be sent to the winner by email by the venue (AKA Ltd) within 3 days of being notified of their win. The Charity accepts no responsibility for the sending or receipt of the email containing the e-tickets.

10. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.

11. The Charity reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Charity’s control makes it necessary to do so.

12. The decision of the Charity regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

13. The winners names and counties can be obtained by sending an email to joanna_felgate@refuge.org.uk within 28 days after the date of the closing date of the prize draw.

14. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The Charity reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.

15. The Charity reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.

16. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Charity, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winners or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Charity, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

17. The winner may be required to participate in publicity related to the prize draw which may include the publication of their name and photograph in any media.

18. Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion may be passed on to third party suppliers only insofar as required for fulfilment/delivery/arrangement of the prize. Personal details will only be used for marketing purposes if you have consented to receive future marketing from the Charity (you may have already done this if you have registered your details with us previously). 19. The prize draw will be governed by English law and entrants to the prize draw submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.


Aldwych theatre, the venue of the musical are trialing a Covid Certification system for the comfort and reassurance of all our audience members. We request that all audience members bring with them one of the following Covid certifications:

  • Proof of full vaccination with any vaccine approved by the World Health Organization, should you have received both doses at least 14 days prior to your performance time. You can present this certification via the NHS Covid Pass within the NHS App or NHS Covid Pass letter or any internationally recognised equivalent, or by presenting your vaccination certificate (or a copy of it).
  • Proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test via the NHS Covid App or a text message or email from NHS Test and Trace, or an internationally recognised equivalent. This test must be taken within 48 hours of your performance time.
  • Should you have natural immunity based on a positive PCR test taken within 10-180 days prior to the date of the performance, please present this proof via the NHS Covid Pass within the NHS App.

Please note that this only applies to audience members aged 18 and over. Attendees under the age of 18 will be asked for verbal confirmation (by them or by a parent or guardian on their behalf) that they have not tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 10 days and are not currently displaying symptoms of Covid-19. Your tickets will be dispatched via email and you will receive a text message reminder of the venues our Covid policy 48 hours before the performance.
