#SafetyInANumber
Every woman should know the National Domestic Abuse Helpline number, so we decided to make it famous. To celebrate International Women’s Day 2020, we partnered with agency BBH, to make sure as many women as possible know the number.
How we made the Helpline famous
Piccadilly Circus screen
We were generously given a slot on the famous advertising screen in Piccadilly Circus as part of the #SafetyInANumber campaign. Key messages around Domestic Abuse were publicly displayed in the heart of London alongside the number – to make sure every woman has it.
Celebrity support
Female celebrities took to Twitter to support the campaign. Supporters from Little Mix to Miranda Hart donated their Twitter name to the Helpline number. Thanks to this generosity, thousands of people saw the number and engaged with the campaign.
Press Coverage
There was excellent coverage of the campaign:
- The Independent
- Metro
- The Sun – with an exclusive interview with Refuge survivor Natasha
