Freephone 24-Hour National Domestic Violence Helpline: 0808 2000 247

Run in partnership between Women’s Aid and Refuge

Thank you for signing up to be a Refuge Shero!

Together, through our actions, we can build a safe and equal world for women and girls.

To mark the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence, from 25 November till 10 December 2018, we shared an action each day across our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter using #RefugeSheroes and on our website. It’s not too late to take action – take action now!

Share your Shero mission

Use our customisable mission card to let your friends, family, colleagues and followers know what your mission is as a Shero and encourage them to join our community of campaigners. We need you to shout about our Shero campaign and build momentum!

Download and print our customisable Shero mission card and write down your mission.

Take a photo of yourself holding up your mission card and post it to Twitter, Facebook or Instagram (or all three!) using the hashtag #RefugeSheroes and tag us @RefugeCharity.

If you need some inspiration, here are some suggested missions:

  • End violence against women and girls
  • Call out everyday misogyny
  • Educate my children about gender equality
  • Learn to spot the signs of domestic abuse
  • Find out if my employer has a domestic abuse policy
