Fundraise with your club or society

There are plenty of ways your club or society can help raise funds to support Refuge’s vital work.

Charity of the year

Nominate Refuge as your charity of the year and raise vital awareness and funds through a variety of activities. Our team have lots of resources which could support you with your application. If you would like more information about this, please contact the community fundraising team by emailing community@refuge.org.uk.

Hold a club dinner

Organise a club dinner and donate proceeds from ticket sales. You can also raise extra funds through a collection, or an auction on the night.

Organise a tournament

Whether it’s a golf day, bridge night, a friendly football match or a netball competition – have fun and raise funds by donating a percentage of ticket sales to Refuge. You could boost your fundraising total by asking people to enter a sweepstake to predict the winner.

Bake sale

Simple, yet a classic! Encourage members to bring along tasty treats to purchase during your next meeting.

Virtual challenge

Why not set a challenge as a group, for example, walking the equivalent distance from London to Paris as a group? This is a great way to build team morale, get fit, and fundraise for Refuge.

Friendly competition

You could give each member of the group a small amount of money, and challenge them to raise as much money as they can. For example, they could use the money to buy a crochet kit, then sell the creation, or use it to buy ingredients to make and sell a cake. It encourages people to get creative, and also can bring out people’s creative edges!
