Children

In 2016-17, 733 children stayed in our refuges; their average age was five and a half.

In the same time period, across all of its services, Refuge gave expert support to 5,685 children.

We have had to fundraise to provide child support workers across our refuges in London and Cambridgeshire, as well as in our ‘one-stop shop’ services, including the Gaia Centre in Lewisham and our Redbridge Violence Against Women and Girls service.

Today’s Advent highlights our work protecting children. There’s so much you can do to help Refuge continue to support this essential work.

Today, we would love to ask you to purchase one of our Children’s Parcels for just £25.  These parcels help us give safety and support to the thousands of children who will be with us this Christmas.
