Working with families to effect change

Two women a week are killed by a current or former partner every week in England and Wales – leaving two families every week bereaved due to domestic violence. Refuge supports families who have lost a loved one to domestic violence – click here to find out more.

Refuge’s award winning campaigns aim to educate the general public and ultimately prevent domestic violence by ensuring that women have the information and support they need to plan a safe escape. Click here to read about our prevention and education campaigns.

Refuge provides a voice for women and children experiencing domestic violence, and ensures that their needs are represented at the highest possible level. Read more about our work with MPs, ministers and policy-makers here.
