The Nationwide Foundation

The Nationwide Foundation makes donations to charitable organisations and is funded principally from contributions from Nationwide Building Society. It has a history of offering support to those most in need in the UK, with a focus on targeting social exclusion.

In spring 2006, The Nationwide Foundation agreed a grant of £150,000 towards Refuge’s specialist psychological services. The grant funds a full-time psychologist and part-time child development worker over a three-year period, reaching over 300 women and children in need of specialist emotional and psychological support.

Refuge is very grateful for The Nationwide Foundation’s support for our work, and we are particularly pleased to be working with such an innovative and collaborative funder.
