Payroll Giving The most tax effective way to support women and children who are experiening domestic violence What is Payroll Giving?Payroll Giving enables employees to give to any UKcharity straight from their gross salary (before tax is deducted), giving immediate tax relief on those donations. This means a donation of £10 each month would only make a £7.80 difference to your pay packet. How Can I Get Involved? If you would like to support Refuge by giving in this way, your payroll or HR department can tell you if a scheme is already in place. If there is, simply fill out a form with your chosen amount and charity (Refuge hopefully!). You can support more than one charity in this way and you can also choose to give anonymously if you prefer, ask your employer for more details. Setting Up A SchemeIf no scheme is in place, it is easy to set one up. All you need do is sign up with a Payroll Giving Agency who will administer the donations on your behalf. Click here for a list of Inland Revenue approved agencies. Promoting The SchemeRefuge also works with a company who can come to your workplace free of charge to promote the scheme at a time convenient to you.
