Challenge eventsSkydive for free and raise funds for Refuge Refuge is delighted to offer supporters the chance to take part in a sponsored parachute jump at one of over 24 approved centres around the country - there is bound to be an airfield near you. There are three types of jump to choose from: - Tandem skydive - strapped to a professional, you jump from up to 10,000 ft and experience freefall at speeds of up to 120mph! No experience required - training and jump are completed on the same day.
- Solo 'Static line' jump - descend on your own from 3,000 ft! You'll have a day's training then jump the following day, after which you will be awarded an official British Parachute Association certificate to prove that you have completed a static line training course and parachute jump - your first step to becoming a fully qualified skydiver!

Accelerated free fall - you will train for a skydive from up to 15,000 ft, jumping with two professional accelerated freefacll instructors by your side. You'll exit the aircraft by yourself and after completing some in-air manoeuvres pull your own parachute to float gently to the ground....all while raising funds for Refuge. All you need do is raise the minimum sponsorship required, and the jump won't cost you a penny. Email us today for your free information pack or call 0207 395 7724. Ready to sign up? Skydive raises £14,000 Congratulations to everyone who participated in Sewa International's group skydive in the summer and autumn of 2007. Between them, jumpers raised an amazing £14,000 for Refuge. Arup Ganguly, a spokesperson for Sewa who also took part in the jump said: “By supporting Refuge, we want to send a clear message that domestic violence is unacceptable. This money will help Refuge to reach out to the women who are living with domestic violence, or the fear of violence, and enable them to access help. This is an incredible important area to support and it’s gratifying to know that this money raised by Sewa International will help in saving lives.” Thank you to all the skydivers for showing such strong commitment and support.
