They were extremely supportive in a difficult time and I wanted the opportunity to give something back and also raise awareness of the great work Refuge does. The LondonMarathonwas an amazing experience, certainly made better with the encouragement and support of the team at Refuge. It was an absolute pleasure to run and fundraise for Refuge.” Meggie, 2007 London Marathon runner Congratulations to Refuge’s 2008 Flora London Marathon team 34 Refuge runners completed the 100th running of the race and we are hugely grateful to them all for their brilliant efforts on behalf of Refuge. Once the runners had finished, it was back to the Naval & Military Club on St James’s Square for well-deserved massages, showers and celebrations with family & friends. So far, our runners have raised over £45,000 to help the women and children experiencing domestic violence…and there is still more sponsorship coming in! Watch this space for the final total. Once again, a huge thank you to all our runners, their supporters and to everyone who sponsored their fantastic achievement. .
