Not all women experiencing domestic violence want or need to stay in a refuge. Some women may need support to remain safe in their home. We meet with women in their homes or in a safe place in the community to give confidential support and empower them to make decisions about their lives.

Every woman’s story is different. We work with each woman and child individually, respecting their choices and decisions.

Our safety parcel includes:

  • Assessing risks and putting a safety plan in place
  • Support accessing the installation of panic buttons, fireproof letter boxes, locks or alarms
  • Support with understanding and navigating housing, welfare and legal rights
  • Help with budgeting, bills or debts
  • Help finding work, training or education
  • Emotional support

“I now have a safe room with a reinforced door installed in my flat and a mobile with a direct line to the local police station. The front door has been reinforced and our bedroom windows have security shutters.” Michelle*
