International Women’s Day 2014: join us for a celebratory breakfast

City of London International Women’s Day Breakfast

On the morning of Friday 7 March 2014, the annual City of London International Women’s Day Breakfast will be held with British journalist, newsreader and television presenter Fiona Bruce in the chair.

Keynote speaker the Rt Hon Lord The Lord Mayor of the City of London Alderman Fiona Woolf and a range of inspirational and thought-provoking speakers will join her and it looks set to be another sparkling event.

The City of London International Women’s Day Breakfast is in its eighth year and has raised over £180,000 for Refuge in that time. It is always an inspirational morning, greatly enjoyed by all.

The morning

  • 8.00am You are invited to arrive at 8.00am for buffet breakfast, to network and to visit the stands in the Guildhall Old Library
  • 9.00am A programme of distinguished guest speakers commences. Each guest speaker will present insights on their journey to success and these may inspire you in your career path
  •  11.00am Close

The day

International Women’s Day is celebrated around the world. The occasion is marked annually in the City of London, using the opportunity to acknowledge women’s success and contribution to the workplace and society.

Sponsorship funds

Sponsorship funds raised will come directly to Refuge. Every day Refuge supports 3,000 women and children through emergency accommodation, practical and emotional support and community based outreach services. Your support will help us carry out our vital work.

Organising committee

The event is organised by a committee with representation from HSBC, City of London Corporation, City of London Police, FANY (Princess Royal’s Volunteer Corps) and JDHR.
