16 Days fundraising challenge – take action for Refuge!

16 Days of Action to End Violence Against WomenThis year for the 16 Days of Action to End Violence Against Women, we’ve got a challenge for you!

Every year, the 16 days between the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on 25th November and Human Rights Day on 10th December are internationally recognised as 16 Days of Action to End Violence Against Women.

Refuge is calling on all of our supporters to take action during the 16 Days and raise vital funds for our specialist domestic violence services.

Refuge. For women and children. Against domestic violence.

Supporters are urged to take on a Gold, Silver or Bronze pledge to make their 16 days count – pledging to raise £1,600, £160 or £16 for our services for women and children.

Every penny raised through the 16 Days campaign will go towards Refuge’s work with women and children experiencing domestic violence.  Our national network of services help to save and change lives.

Refuge urgently needs public support.  Demand on our services is relentless and we rely heavily on donations to sustain our work.

In a 16-day period, four women will be killed by a current or former partner; 432 women will attempt suicide as a result of domestic violence; and 8 women will take their own lives in order to escape domestic violence.
