White Ribbon Campaign highlights the change in the definition of domestic violence

“Just because it isn’t physical doesn’t mean it’s not abuse”

In March 2013, the Government’s definition of domestic violence changed to include “coercive control” as a form of abuse. To help raise awareness of this change in definition the White Ribbon Campaign has released a radio ad campaign which ran on of the weekend of the definition change.

Voiced by Hollywood actor Mark Strong and based on the real case of a woman supported by Refuge, it conveys the horrifying forms that coercive control can take.
