In Hannah’s memory: Debbie Buttars’ year of fundraising

Debbie, who lost her daughter to domestic violence, looks back on a year of fundraising and awareness-raising for Refuge

In January 2009, 21 year old Hannah Louise Fisher was murdered by her ex-partner. Since then Hannah’s mother Debbie has worked tirelessly to raise awareness of domestic violence and raise funds for Refuge. She spent 2011 undertaking a whole host of fundraising activities, culminating in a trek of the Grand Canyon in September, and has raised £7000 for Refuge so far. Debbie has received so much encouragement from Refuge supporters and wishes to thank everyone who has donated or sent her a message of support. You can donate in memory of Hannah here until 30th January 2012. Please give whatever you can to help Debbie pay tribute to her daughter and help Refuge support more women like Hannah.
