Run for Refuge in 2009

Looking for a new challenge to kickstart the new year?

We’re recruiting for a number of high profile running events and would love to have your support.

Not only is this a great health and fitness opportunity, but your sponsorship will also help more women and children to escape domestic violence and rebuild their lives.

Places are available for the following….

BUPA London 10,000, 25 May (bank holiday Monday):  This is a fantastic central London 10k from the organisers of the Flora London marathon and the BUPA Great Run series.  The spectacular route is tipped to form part of the 2012 Olympics marathon course and takes in landmarks including Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, St Paul’s Cathedral and Trafalgar Square.

British 10k London Run, Sunday 12 July:  This is another excellent central Londonevent that starts at Hyde Park Corner and takes runners past Trafalgar Square along the Embankment, finishing on Whitehall.

Run to the Beat Half Marathon, Sunday 27 September –This unique event sees runners pounding the leafy streets of London’s historic Greenwich area to the sounds of twenty live bands. Refuge is very excited to be entering its first ever team in this event and would love to have your support.

Whichever event you choose, Refuge will offer you a free professional running vest, fitness tips and relevant training plan, full sponsorship pack and personalised online fundraising page.
